Quick Overview

By David Ruffner

The plastics that we use don't often get recycled properly, if at all. A lot of the plastics that we don't recycle generally make their way into the Pacific Ocean forming the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Seagulls and other animals pick up the non-recycled plastics thinking that its food and consume as such. When these animals eat the plastics, it is deadly. As you can see, the mosaic of a seagull made out of plastic and falling to pieces is sort of to symbolize the last flight taken.

There is more plastic than plankton in some parts of the ocean. Not many people are aware of this issue, and that's why we have chosen to address it in our own unique way.
